Named Text Evidence Lab

Free Years 9–10 named-text companion — recognise and select analysis plans to use with your own copy. No account needed.

About Named Text Evidence Lab

Recognise or select an analysis plan to try with the learner's own lawful text and notes; no modern extract is supplied and the game does not inspect the learner's evidence or analysis. The default practice mode is untimed, so the learner can think before choosing. Correct answers build a gentle celebration; mistakes receive corrective feedback and return later rather than causing a penalty spiral.

Curriculum purpose

Learning objective: Recognise and select suitable plans for quotation, language, character, theme, setting, plot, context and comparison work.

Curriculum anchor: GCSE English literature and KS3 named-text companion skill practice. It does not itself assess knowledge, evidence choice, analysis or mastery of any named work.

This game is designed as short independent practice after an idea has been introduced. It does not replace direct teaching, mathematical or scientific discussion, or an adult checking whether the learner can explain the idea away from the screen.

For parents and carers

Keep the learner's lawful copy and class notes beside the game. Treat each answer only as a plan choice; review the evidence and analysis separately. Stop while attention is still good. A short accurate return tomorrow is more useful than extending a tired session today.
