Free Year 7 Science practice — reason about neutralisation, formulae, equations, pH and reaction types. No account needed.
Reason about neutralisation, element symbols, formulae, balanced equations, pH and selected reaction types. The default practice mode is untimed, so the learner can think before choosing. Correct answers build a gentle celebration; mistakes receive corrective feedback and return later rather than causing a penalty spiral.
Learning objective: Interpret selected chemical symbols, formulae, equations, pH evidence, neutralisation and reaction-type evidence.
Curriculum anchor: England KS3 Science: chemical reactions as rearrangements of atoms, word and symbol equations, acids and alkalis, the pH scale, combustion, thermal decomposition and oxidation.
This game is designed as short independent practice after an idea has been introduced. It does not replace direct teaching, mathematical or scientific discussion, or an adult checking whether the learner can explain the idea away from the screen.
Ask the learner to count atoms, identify the evidence for a reaction and separate pH from wider safety claims. Stop while attention is still good. A short accurate return tomorrow is more useful than extending a tired session today.
Does it need an account? No. The game runs in the browser and asks for no name, email address, school or location.
Is it timed? Practice is untimed. Where a sprint exists it is optional. Times Tables Sprint also includes MTC-style independent practice, not an expected-standard judgement.
Can it be used on a phone? Yes. Buttons support touch and keyboard use; sorting always has a tap alternative to dragging.
