Free Year 7 Science practice — calculate motion and reason about forces, gravity, balance and spring data. No account needed.
Calculate speed, interpret distance–time graphs and reason about contact and non-contact forces, diagrams, friction, tension, gravity, balance and spring data. The default practice mode is untimed, so the learner can think before choosing. Correct answers build a gentle celebration; mistakes receive corrective feedback and return later rather than causing a penalty spiral.
Learning objective: Calculate selected motion values, interpret supplied graphs and diagrams, distinguish force interactions and evaluate bounded spring evidence.
Curriculum anchor: England KS3 Science: speed and distance–time graphs; forces as pushes and pulls; contact and non-contact forces; resultant force; gravity, mass and weight; balanced forces; force–extension relationships.
This game is designed as short independent practice after an idea has been introduced. It does not replace direct teaching, mathematical or scientific discussion, or an adult checking whether the learner can explain the idea away from the screen.
Ask the learner to state direction and units, distinguish mass from weight, and separate zero resultant force from zero individual forces. Stop while attention is still good. A short accurate return tomorrow is more useful than extending a tired session today.
Does it need an account? No. The game runs in the browser and asks for no name, email address, school or location.
Is it timed? Practice is untimed. Where a sprint exists it is optional. Times Tables Sprint also includes MTC-style independent practice, not an expected-standard judgement.
Can it be used on a phone? Yes. Buttons support touch and keyboard use; sorting always has a tap alternative to dragging.
