Scientific Attitudes Lab

Free Year 7 Science practice — analyse data quality, identify patterns, judge claims and evaluate evidence. No account needed.

About Scientific Attitudes Lab

Analyse data quality, identify patterns, judge whether claims fit evidence and evaluate bounded investigations. The default practice mode is untimed, so the learner can think before choosing. Correct answers build a gentle celebration; mistakes receive corrective feedback and return later rather than causing a penalty spiral.

Curriculum purpose

Learning objective: Use supplied data and investigation summaries to identify quality issues, patterns, proportionate claims and evaluation points.

Curriculum anchor: England KS3 Science working scientifically: analyse patterns, evaluate data, present reasoned explanations and identify further questions arising from results.

This game is designed as short independent practice after an idea has been introduced. It does not replace direct teaching, mathematical or scientific discussion, or an adult checking whether the learner can explain the idea away from the screen.

For parents and carers

Ask what the data directly show, what remains uncertain and which change would make the evidence stronger. Stop while attention is still good. A short accurate return tomorrow is more useful than extending a tired session today.
