Free Year 8 Maths practice — interpret frequency polygons, histograms, time series, frequency trees and stem-and-leaf diagrams. No account needed.
Interpret and complete selected advanced statistical representations from supplied values. The default practice mode is untimed, so the learner can think before choosing. Correct answers build a gentle celebration; mistakes receive corrective feedback and return later rather than causing a penalty spiral.
Learning objective: Use class midpoints and density, recognise time patterns, reconcile frequency branches and read ordered stem-and-leaf values.
Curriculum anchor: England KS3 Mathematics: construct and interpret appropriate tables, charts and diagrams, including frequency tables, bar charts, pie charts and line graphs.
This game is designed as short independent practice after an idea has been introduced. It does not replace direct teaching, mathematical or scientific discussion, or an adult checking whether the learner can explain the idea away from the screen.
Ask which quantity each axis, branch or digit represents before the learner calculates. Stop while attention is still good. A short accurate return tomorrow is more useful than extending a tired session today.
Does it need an account? No. The game runs in the browser and asks for no name, email address, school or location.
Is it timed? Practice is untimed. Where a sprint exists it is optional. Times Tables Sprint also includes MTC-style independent practice, not an expected-standard judgement.
Can it be used on a phone? Yes. Buttons support touch and keyboard use; sorting always has a tap alternative to dragging.
