Health and Infection Lab

Free Year 9 Science practice — infection, smoking, alcohol and health evidence. No account needed.

About Health and Infection Lab

Recognise infection barriers and evaluate general evidence about microorganisms, smoking, alcohol and drugs. The default practice mode is untimed, so the learner can think before choosing. Correct answers build a gentle celebration; mistakes receive corrective feedback and return later rather than causing a penalty spiral.

Curriculum purpose

Learning objective: Separate risk reduction, association, mechanism and personal medical advice when reasoning about health evidence.

Curriculum anchor: England KS3 Science: health, disease, microorganisms, drugs, alcohol, smoking and effects during pregnancy.

This game is designed as short independent practice after an idea has been introduced. It does not replace direct teaching, mathematical or scientific discussion, or an adult checking whether the learner can explain the idea away from the screen.

For parents and carers

Keep claims at population-evidence level and direct personal concerns to a trusted adult and qualified professional. Stop while attention is still good. A short accurate return tomorrow is more useful than extending a tired session today.
