Close About Body & Plants Sprint
Name circled parts of the body, flowering plants and trees, and connect each sense to the body part that detects it. The default practice mode is untimed, so the learner can think before choosing. Correct answers build a gentle celebration; mistakes receive corrective feedback and return later rather than causing a penalty spiral.
Curriculum purpose Learning objective: Identify and name basic external body parts, sense organs, and the main structures of flowering plants and trees.
Curriculum anchor: England science programme of study: Year 1 animals including humans and plants.
This game is designed as short independent practice after an idea has been introduced. It does not replace direct teaching, mathematical or scientific discussion, or an adult checking whether the learner can explain the idea away from the screen.
For parents and carers Ask the learner to point to the same part on themselves or a real plant, then say what that part does. Stop while attention is still good. A short accurate return tomorrow is more useful than extending a tired session today.
Frequently asked questions Does it need an account? No. The game runs in the browser and asks for no name, email address, school or location.
Is it timed? Practice is untimed. Where a sprint exists it is optional. Times Tables Sprint also includes MTC-style independent practice, not an expected-standard judgement.
Can it be used on a phone? Yes. Buttons support touch and keyboard use; sorting always has a tap alternative to dragging.
