Compare & Order Sprint

Free comparing and ordering numbers game for Years 2 to 4 — numbers to 100 and 1,000, matched to the national curriculum. No account needed.

About Compare & Order Sprint

Compare and order whole numbers in ranges to 100 and 1,000. The default practice mode is untimed, so the learner can think before choosing. Correct answers build a gentle celebration; mistakes receive corrective feedback and return later rather than causing a penalty spiral.

Curriculum purpose

Learning objective: Compare and order whole numbers using place value and inequality symbols.

Curriculum anchor: England mathematics programmes of study: number and place value in Key Stages 1 and 2.

This game is designed as short independent practice after an idea has been introduced. It does not replace direct teaching, mathematical or scientific discussion, or an adult checking whether the learner can explain the idea away from the screen.

For parents and carers

Ask the learner to compare the highest-value differing digit before checking the final order. Stop while attention is still good. A short accurate return tomorrow is more useful than extending a tired session today.
