Life Cycles Line-Up

Free life cycles game for Years 1 to 4 — butterflies, frogs, plants and people in the right order, matched to the national curriculum. No account needed.

About Life Cycles Line-Up

Put stages of animal, plant and human growth in order, then see the completed cycle as a wheel. The default practice mode is untimed, so the learner can think before choosing. Correct answers build a gentle celebration; mistakes receive corrective feedback and return later rather than causing a penalty spiral.

Curriculum purpose

Learning objective: Describe how living things grow and change, and recognise that many life cycles repeat.

Curriculum anchor: England science programmes of study: animals including humans, plants, and living things and their habitats.

This game is designed as short independent practice after an idea has been introduced. It does not replace direct teaching, mathematical or scientific discussion, or an adult checking whether the learner can explain the idea away from the screen.

For parents and carers

Ask what changes at each stage and why a cycle is a better model than a straight line for the organism shown. Stop while attention is still good. A short accurate return tomorrow is more useful than extending a tired session today.
