Free measurement game for Years 2–3 — compare lengths, masses and capacities using less than, greater than and equals signs. No account needed.
Choose the sign that compares two supplied measures. Year 2 choices use matching units; Year 3 extension questions mix equivalent units. The default practice mode is untimed, so the learner can think before choosing. Correct answers build a gentle celebration; mistakes receive corrective feedback and return later rather than causing a penalty spiral.
Learning objective: Compare supplied lengths, masses and capacities using <, > and =. Partial support: ordering several measures needs separate practice.
Curriculum anchor: England mathematics, Year 2 measurement: comparison and symbolic recording; Year 3 extension: simple unit equivalences.
This game is designed as short independent practice after an idea has been introduced. It does not replace direct teaching, mathematical or scientific discussion, or an adult checking whether the learner can explain the idea away from the screen.
Ask the learner to read the whole statement aloud, then put three real measurements in order. Stop while attention is still good. A short accurate return tomorrow is more useful than extending a tired session today.
Does it need an account? No. The game runs in the browser and asks for no name, email address, school or location.
Is it timed? Practice is untimed. Where a sprint exists it is optional. Times Tables Sprint also includes MTC-style independent practice, not an expected-standard judgement.
Can it be used on a phone? Yes. Buttons support touch and keyboard use; sorting always has a tap alternative to dragging.
