Reading Evidence Lab

Free Years 3–6 reading practice — retrieve facts, infer from linked clues and choose text-supported predictions. No account needed.

About Reading Evidence Lab

Select stated information, text-bound inferences and supported predictions from short supplied passages. The default practice mode is untimed, so the learner can think before choosing. Correct answers build a gentle celebration; mistakes receive corrective feedback and return later rather than causing a penalty spiral.

Curriculum purpose

Learning objective: Select stated information, text-bound inferences and supported predictions from short supplied passages.

Curriculum anchor: England english programme of study: selected Years 3–6 activities; partial support only.

This game is designed as short independent practice after an idea has been introduced. It does not replace direct teaching, mathematical or scientific discussion, or an adult checking whether the learner can explain the idea away from the screen.

For parents and carers

Guided selection of explicit information, text-bound inference and relatively supported prediction in 20 short supplied Years 3–6 passages; no independent written recording, note making, discussion, arbitrary full-text comprehension, unrestricted inference or whole-topic claim. Stop while attention is still good. A short accurate return tomorrow is more useful than extending a tired session today.
