Free Year 2 editing practice — compare supplied revisions and choose precise language. No account needed.
Select revisions and word choices that meet explicit improvement goals. The default practice mode is untimed, so the learner can think before choosing. Correct answers build a gentle celebration; mistakes receive corrective feedback and return later rather than causing a penalty spiral.

This game is designed as short independent practice after an idea has been introduced. It does not replace direct teaching, mathematical or scientific discussion, or an adult checking whether the learner can explain the idea away from the screen.
Writing Improver provides guided Year 2 practice evaluating supplied revisions against explicit goals, selecting replacement words and identifying adjective detail, adverb detail or a more precise verb. It offers partial support for topics 3293 and 7615. Identifying the improvement type does not independently demonstrate judgement of revision quality. The game does not assess independent writing, unrestricted word choice, spelling, punctuation, sentence-level proofreading, every valid revision or complete topic mastery. Stop while attention is still good. A short accurate return tomorrow is more useful than extending a tired session today.
Does it need an account? No. The game runs in the browser and asks for no name, email address, school or location.
Is it timed? Practice is untimed. Where a sprint exists it is optional. Times Tables Sprint also includes MTC-style independent practice, not an expected-standard judgement.
Can it be used on a phone? Yes. Buttons support touch and keyboard use; sorting always has a tap alternative to dragging.
