SATs results 2027: release date and scaled scores
Schools can view the 2027 KS2 test results from Tuesday 6 July 2027, according to the Standards and Testing Agency’s parent guidance.
Your child’s school chooses how to share results with families. You should receive them by the end of the summer term; ask the school when to expect its report.
How scaled scores work
Raw marks are converted into scaled scores. The official explanation describes how this supports comparisons over time.

| 80 | The lowest scaled score that can be awarded |
| 100 | The expected standard |
| 110 or above | The higher standard in the tests |
| 120 | The highest scaled score that can be awarded |
A score of 100 or more meets the expected standard in that test. The DfE methodology defines 110 or more as the higher standard. Writing and science receive teacher assessments rather than test scores; “working at greater depth” is a writing judgement, not the name of a scaled score.
How to discuss the results
Secondary schools can access the results to help plan support for incoming pupils. Read the test scores alongside the teacher’s assessment and comments. Ask which skills need attention and what practice would be useful.

Looking ahead to 2028
The published test week for 2028 is Monday 8 May to Thursday 11 May. That timetable gives test dates, not a results-release date. Check the relevant assessment guidance for later announcements.
