November 2026 GCSE Resits: Dates, Entry Deadline and Results
The November 2026 GCSE common timetable runs from Monday 2 to Wednesday 11 November. The standard entry deadline was 4 October 2026. If you still need an entry, contact a centre immediately to ask whether it can accept one and what late fees apply.
The JCQ key dates updated in September 2026 give Wednesday 13 January 2027 as candidate results day. This supersedes the 14 January date shown in some older timetables. Confirm collection arrangements with your centre.

For GCSE English language and maths, candidates must have been at least 16 on 31 August 2026. You do not have to have taken the subject in the summer, but you must meet the entry rules. Which subjects can I resit in November 2026?
In England, the November GCSE series offers English language and maths. Check with the relevant awarding body for qualifications in Wales or Northern Ireland. Other qualifications, including International GCSEs, have their own timetables and rules.
