GCSE Results Day 2027: Date, Times and What Happens
GCSE results day 2027 is Thursday 19 August 2027. That is the day candidates in England, Wales and Northern Ireland receive their grades for the summer 2027 series. A-level results come out the week before, on Thursday 12 August 2027.
The dates are set by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), the body through which the exam boards coordinate, and they are already published in its key dates for the June 2027 series.

Ask your school or centre how and when it will give you the results. If you are a private candidate, make these arrangements with the centre that entered you. The restricted release to centres is not permission for candidates to receive results a day early.
Check the board’s published grade-boundary table for the exact qualification and series. If you are considering a review of marking, speak to the centre about the process, consent, fees and deadline; being close to a boundary does not guarantee a changed grade.
